HOW IT STARTED, THE NAME & BRAND ETHOS.
it all started in the summer of 2019 stemming from my love for burning candles and creating different atmospheres in my home, tailored to my mood or desired ambiance. after experiencing headaches i eliminated many items from my environment and diet. however, upon reintroducing candles, the headaches returned indicating a clear connection.
my commitment to reducing waste and choosing toxin-free, natural products greatly influenced my decision making process. determined to find alternatives to the artificially scented paraffin wax candles filled with additives and harmful substances, i purchased the necessary tools to create my own eco-friendly candles, armed only with basic knowledge of what goes into them. the scientific aspects came somewhat naturally to me.
my first batch exceeded my expectations, given my limited experience in candle making, though it did require some adjustments. by the second batch, i felt i had mastered the craft, producing eco-friendly, clean-burning candles with minimal residue, strong cold and hot throw, and elegantly smooth tops. my goal became clear: to create scented candles that catered to a broad range of preferences β whether for sweet, woody, fresh, warming, herby, or invigorating scents. each candle is made in small batches with love and care, using only eco soy wax, essential or natural oil blends, and responsibly sourced organic cotton wicks.
ππππ pronounced KRIB means home. the R in my logo represents a keyhole, signifying you hold the keys to access the best options for you, whether it is created or bought. and the numeral 1 reflects individuality, reminding us while we are all different in many ways, we all have a body and regardless of itβs skin tone, shape, height, disability or ability it is our only permanent home β so why not protect it by any means.
i am heavy on giving back, so together; making these small changes in the type of products we buy and use, we can safeguard our wellbeing, the next generations, nature and the health of our planet! these small but significant adjustments in our consumer choices can foster a sustainable environment β₯
